Challenge

PMC raises all of its funds through the efforts of its participants and is careful not to send any solicitations directly to past donors. This is a firmly-held policy and gives its riders confidence that their sponsors will not be further solicited.

The challenge is to motivate each of the 5,000 riders and provide intuitive online tools that will encourage and help them tap into their social networks to raise funds and exceed their fundraising goals.


Solution


  • MWare provided Personal and Team Fundraising Pages for riders to tell their story, upload pictures and email addresses and solicit gifts online.
  • Options are provided for Personal, Team, Volunteer and Virtual fundraising.
  • Interfaces with major social networking sites so that riders can spread the word on sites such as Facebook, Twitter and MySpace.
  • Template email messages are available to enable riders to easily generate solicitations
  • PMC managers can segment their emails allowing them to target the audience for communications about event status and fundraising tips.
  • The PMC system now makes it easy to send email updates to its riders regarding best practices and solicitation tools that are at their disposal.

  • PMC is able to support over 5,000 individual fundraising drives of various types
  • Over $30,000,000 is raised yearly with an average of over $6,000 raised per rider
  • PMC managers can now easily email the specific riders appropriate for each communication
  • Team membership has increased to the point where most riders are members of a team
  • Over 650 riders are now "virtual and are responsible for raising over $2,000,000.
